Agri-Fish-Tech Fair to be launched in Daliao

Agriculture-Fisheries and Technology Committee Chair Kgd. Ryan Maboloc has reported that an Agri-Fish-Tech Fair will be launched in Barangay Daliao in May 2012. The project involves urban gardening, waste to employment projects, livelihood programs for fisherfolks, fisheries resource management, among others. Kgd. Rodel Granada and Kgd. Munding Zapanta are the Committee members. A budget of 10,000 has been allotted for the agriculture and fisheries sector competitions. The program is intended to help in food sufficiency and values formation, including care for the environment and the family. A resolution was passed last March 6, 2012 during the regular session of the Barangay Council.

3rd batch of TESDA training begins; 116,000 allotted for TechVoc

A total of 64 trainees will undergo the 3rd batch of the TESDA and Barangay Daliao Welding and Consumer Electronics Training from March to July of this year. The Orientation for the new trainees was conducted last February 26, 2012. It was graced by PB Rodolfo Te, Kgd. Ryan Maboloc, Kgd. Rodel Granada, Engr. Bong Dumugho, Inst. Teodoro Espera and Inst. Jerson Beduya. The Barangay Council has set aside 30,000 for welding machines, 38,000 for the training room improvement, and 48,000 for the salaries of instructors for FY 2012. So far, the barangay has enrolled 120 trainees since March 2011 and has graduated 90. TESDA issues the Certificate to all trainees who pass.
