DOLE distributes fishing gears to small fishermen

The Department of Labor and Employment, through the initiative of Rep. Isidro Ungab, distributed various fishing gears to 57 small fishermen in Barangay Daliao last December 10, 2014. Engr. Albert Ungab encouraged the fishermen to do their part by taking care of their livelihood. PB Oping Te thanked DOLE, Cong. Ungab, the BFARMC and Kgd. Ryan Maboloc for initiating this program. "Kgd. Maboloc made sure that this project will be realized for the sake of small fishermen," he said. Hosted by B/Sec. Munding Zapanta, the activity was also graced by Ms. Aimee Evora of DA-BFAR, Kgd. Rene Pe Benito, Kgd. Bong Dumogho, BFARMC Coordinator Manolito Seguerra, and other barangay officials.

7th Tech-Voc Culmination Program Held

The LGU-Daliao Tech-Voc Training Center, the first duly accredited barangay-based training center in Davao City, held the culmination program for the 7th batch of trainees in welding, consumer electronics and electrical installation. A total of 95 training competency certificates for forty-five graduates were awarded by TESDA and the Training Center in the program which was graced by TESDA senior specialist Araceli Guazon, PB Rodolfo Te, Kagawad Joseph Dumogho, Kagawad Ryan Maboloc, Kagawad Susan Tega and Kagawad Rene Pe Benito. B/Sec Raymond Zapanta was the host of the program. TESDA announced that trainees can avail of free NCII assessment at TESDA this April. Also in attendance were Tech-Voc supervisor Manolito Seguerra, Instructor Teodoro Espera, Jerson Beduya and Froilan Divino.
