Maboloc to form youth coalition with Zapanta and Dumogho

Former Kgd. Ryan Maboloc, to emphasize the value of moral leadership, will organize a youth coalition together with Kgd. Munding Zapanta and Engr. Bong Dumogho.

They intend to formulate the youth agenda for Barangay Daliao in order to address the problems of the youth and children, including mapping out sports and leadership development.

The SK Batch of Maboloc and Zapanta, and the support of the 4H group of Bong Dumogho, enabled the SK of Daliao to be awarded Most Outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan in 1994.

Their projects included providing audio-visual equipment to Day Care Centers, the construction of the basketball court in DUHA and Kalubin-an, the establishment of the Youth Center, and the annual Araw ng Kabataan.

Sangguniang Barangay Committees assigned

Committee chairmanships in the Sangguniang Barangay of Daliao have been assigned during the first regular session of the new council held last July 7, 2018. The powerful Committee on Finance is now handled by Kgd. Joseph Dumogho while Kgd. Junex Oberez holds the chairmanship of the Committee on Infrastructure and the Committee on Peace and Order. Kgd. Dumogho is also head of the Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries. Meanwhile, Kgd. Ryan Maboloc now chairs the Committee on Education whereas Kgd. Lolito Sucayre handles the Committee on Ethics and Good Governance and the Committee on Urban Planning. Kgd. Rodel Granada holds the chairmanship of the newly merged Committee on Health and Social Services while Kgd. Anthony Mulat is head of the Committee on the Environment and the Committee on Solid Waste Management. Kgd. Munding Zapanta is chair of the Committee on Tourism and SK Chairman Maymay Aquino, by law, chairs the Committee on Youth and Sports.

Barangay Daliao Today

The leadership of PB Oping Te and the unity of the Sangguniang Barangay are integral to Daliao's continuing progress. For 2016, the barangay had an annual budget of 12,472,510. The main source of this fund is the Internal Revenue Allotment. Other sources include share from real property taxes and collections from cedula, filing fees, and certifications for business permit applications and renewals. To augment the barangay's resources and for other projects, the City Government and the Office of the District Representative sponsor many projects like roads and buildings. In this regard, Mayor Sara Duterte and Cong. Isidro Ungab have been a huge factor in the delivery of basic welfare to our constituents. A new two-storey, four-classroom tech-voc training facility will soon be inaugurated in the barangay.
