Kagawad Maboloc encourages positive dialogue this election season

Since the Commission on Election has already promulgated the guidelines for the 2013 Barangay Elections, potential candidates including incumbent barangay officials have already started doing consultative visits to different sitios to hold discussions with the barangay constituents. It is in this light that incumbent Kagawad Ryan Maboloc is encouraging positive discussions and dialogues with the people. "We just highlight our achievements and what we can do to help our constituents live better lives", this in a way was the message he relayed. "Ultimately, the people should elect those leaders that they deserve," he adds. As of the moment, at least two persons have expressed their willingness to challenge incumbent PB Rodolfo Te. There are already twenty five (25) prospective candidates for Sangguniang Barangay members. The filing of certificates of candidacy will be in October 15-17, 2013.

Sangguniang Barangay Committees assigned

Committee chairmanships in the Sangguniang Barangay of Daliao have been assigned during the first regular session of the new council held last July 7, 2018. The powerful Committee on Finance is now handled by Kgd. Joseph Dumogho while Kgd. Junex Oberez holds the chairmanship of the Committee on Infrastructure and the Committee on Peace and Order. Kgd. Dumogho is also head of the Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries. Meanwhile, Kgd. Ryan Maboloc now chairs the Committee on Education whereas Kgd. Lolito Sucayre handles the Committee on Ethics and Good Governance and the Committee on Urban Planning. Kgd. Rodel Granada holds the chairmanship of the newly merged Committee on Health and Social Services while Kgd. Anthony Mulat is head of the Committee on the Environment and the Committee on Solid Waste Management. Kgd. Munding Zapanta is chair of the Committee on Tourism and SK Chairman Maymay Aquino, by law, chairs the Committee on Youth and Sports.

Barangay Daliao Today

The leadership of PB Oping Te and the unity of the Sangguniang Barangay are integral to Daliao's continuing progress. For 2016, the barangay had an annual budget of 12,472,510. The main source of this fund is the Internal Revenue Allotment. Other sources include share from real property taxes and collections from cedula, filing fees, and certifications for business permit applications and renewals. To augment the barangay's resources and for other projects, the City Government and the Office of the District Representative sponsor many projects like roads and buildings. In this regard, Mayor Sara Duterte and Cong. Isidro Ungab have been a huge factor in the delivery of basic welfare to our constituents.
