Oping Te: Equal opportunities for all

Rodolfo "Oping" Te strongly urged voters to consider as most important "equal opportunities" for all. This was his statement to around 100 supporters who were gathered to listen to him and his group, which includes Junex Oberez, Ryan Maboloc, Munding Zapanta, Rene Pe Benito, and Minu Mulat. People have expressed their sentiments after the meeting and they are convinced that the group will deliver key results for Barangay Daliao. Te emphasized scholarships, the judicious use of the BDF and moral governance.

Maboloc encourages positive campaigning

The politics of old, of bricks and brat, should change. This is the core message released by Former Kgd. Ryan Maboloc, who is under the group of Oping Te, which includes Junex Oberez, Munding Zapanta, Rene Pe Benito, and Minu Mulat. Positive campaigning means not employing personal attacks. Instead, the focus should be on issues, principles, and the common good. Governance means that the government has a purpose, and this purpose is the good of the people, "ang katuyuan sa gobyerno mao ang kaayuhan sa katawhan", he said. He added that campaigning should manifest respect for each other and care for the public interest.

Oping Te's Group: 24 Impact Projects in 3 years

The Group of Oping Te, which includes incumbents Kgd. Rene Pe Benito and Kgd. Munding Zapanta, and former Kgds. Junex Oberez and Ryan Maboloc, and Mr. Minu Mulat, presented their Program of 24 Impact Projects to be sourced from the Barangay Development Fund. The projects, which can range from 100,000 to 150,000, will be implemented in the 24 sitios of Barangay Daliao in consultation with the residents and their leaders. Former Kgd. Ryan Maboloc emphasized on scholarships for the poor while former Kgd. Junex Oberez explained the importance of sincere public service. On the other hand, Kgd. Pe Benito has reiterated the need for "overhaul" while Kgd. Zapanta made his commitment to do best in his final term. Maboloc to form youth coalition with Zapanta and Dumogho

Former Kgd. Ryan Maboloc, to emphasize the value of moral leadership, will organize a youth coalition together with Kgd. Munding Zapanta and Engr. Bong Dumogho. They intend to formulate the youth agenda for Barangay Daliao in order to address the problems of the youth and children, including mapping out sports and leadership development. The SK Batch of Maboloc and Zapanta, and the support of the 4H group of Bong Dumogho, enabled the SK of Daliao to be awarded Most Outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan in 1994. Their projects included providing audio-visual equipment to Day Care Centers, the construction of the basketball court in DUHA and Kalubin-an, the establishment of the Youth Center, and the annual Araw ng Kabataan.

Oberez to focus on infrastructure

Former Kagawad Junex Oberez reveals his intention to focus on infrastructure development if he gets elected this October. Speaking during a meeting with Oping Te's Group, together with Kgd. Munding Zapanta, Kgd. Rene Pebenito, former Kgd. Ryan Maboloc and Mayang Cascabel, Oberez reiterated his desire to focus on improving interior barangay roads and drainage systems. Meanwhile, former Kgd. Oping Te, who will be running for Barangay Chairman, emphasized that he wants to "change people's lives" through education and good governance. The group's agenda will focus on the basic needs of the community, with special attention to be given to the different sectors in the barangay, including women, senior citizens, children and the youth sector.

Kgd. Zapanta to help the youth in his third term

Kagawad Munding Zapanta, who will be running for his third and final term, will push for the youth agenda after the barangay elections. He said that the youth today is different, and so he hopes to bring back the programs in the past that proved successful. This includes, among others, strengthening the role of the SK. Zapanta served as SK Councilor during the term of SK Chairman Ryan Maboloc. The other SK Councilors include Ariel Rubia, Dexter Mantes, Malyn Lumanas, Juvy Lucero, Manoling Seguerra, Mitzi Balasabas, and Glenn Tinio as Treasurer and Dhalia Aviles as secretary.

Maboloc to introduce computer scholarships

Former Barangay Kagawad Ryan Maboloc has revealed his plan to introduce scholarship programs for the youth of Barangay Daliao. A former SK Chairman (1992-2002), he was the main sponsor of a scholarship for deserving High School students during his stint in the Barangay Council. "Since we are in the information age, then maybe we can send students to computer schools and equip them with the necessary skills", he said. "This is ultimately life-changing". Himself a scholar since college until graduate school, Maboloc said that this is one way of ending years of hopelessness and unabated poverty.
