Council to hold Inaugural Program on December 1

The 12th Barangay Council of Daliao, headed by Barangay Captain-elect Rodolfo Te, will hold a big Inaugural Program on December 1. The program will begin with a mass. It will be followed by his inaugural address, the inaugural session and a grand salu-salu. Te is expected to lay down his plans for the barangay, including the line up of projects. During the session, the council is expected to assign the standing committee chairmanships. The program will be attended by all newly-appointed barangay functionaries, sitio leaders and coordinators, tanods and lupon, including leaders and barangay constituents.

25-hectare food terminal complex in Daliao to further spur economic growth in Davao

By US News Agency / Asian A 25-hectare food terminal complex will soon be established in Daliao, Davao City to encourage the business sector to invest and further spur the growth to the city’s economy and even the entire Davao Region. Engr. Ramon F. Allado, chair of the Southern Philippines Construction Core Group (SPCCG), in his presentation during the recent Regional Economic Managers’ Briefing spearheaded by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Davao, said the establishment of the Davao Food Terminal Complex will be located in the area of the National Development Company (NDC) property in Daliao, Toril. Allado said the food terminal will focus on poultry, fruit processing, agri processing, and cold storage facilities. He said primarily, the business considers the strength of agriculture as the stabilizer amidst repercussions in the global economy. Dumugho to partner with Maboloc in setting technical school project

Engr. Bong Dumugho will team up with Kagawad-elect Maboloc to set up a technical school based in the barangay. The two will design programs that will offer welding, electronics, wiring, and other courses to help the youth gain technical skills. This, according to them, will prepare the residents of Barangay Daliao in terms of employment opportunities with the forthcoming construction of the Davao Food Terminal Complex which will be built in Daliao at the former Daratex Compound. Maboloc hopes to get the Committee on Education and has lobbied to secure 50,000 in funding for the undertaking.

Oping Te and group to chart barangay masterplan

The group of Rodolfo 'Oping' Te, Punong Barangay-elect, and his kagawads, Rene Pe Benito, Junnex Oberez, Ryan Maboloc, Munding Zapanta, and Rodel Granada hope to chart their masterplan in the days ahead. Te won by a landslide in the October 25, 2010 barangay elections. The group has committed itself to the equitable distribution of barangay resources, and will focus primarily on human development. They intend to provide funds for technical education and scholarships, medicines, the rehabilitation of barangay roads and drainage, sports and physical development, and livelihood programs. Plans include a first-ever job fair in the barangay, and making the senior citizens and women sectors active, including increasing the beneficiaries of 4Ps. Right now, the Punong Barangay-elect is focused on the reorganization of barangay functionaries and the inventories of existing barangay funds and equipment, including projects due for implementation.
