20th Tech-Voc Graduation Held

The Barangay Daliao Technical and Vocational Program held its 20th Tech-Voc Graduation Exercises last September 14, 2019. A total of 65 trainees received their Certificate of Completion in welding, consumer electronics, and electrical installation. The program was attended by PB Oping Te, Kgd. Ryan Maboloc, Kgd. Bong Dumogho, and Kgd. Rodel Granada. TechVoc supervisor Manoling Seguerra and trainors Teodoro Espera, Jerson Beduya and Ricky Cabatu attended the event.

Rights of PWD Seminar held in Barangay Daliao

The seminar for the Rights of Persons with Disability was successfully held last September 8, 2019 at the Sto. Rosario Parish Function Hall. The event was sponsored by the Sangguniang Barangay of Daliao. It was attended by more than 30 PWDs and 26 sitio leaders. The topics include CSSDO services for PWDs by SW Reygen Formentera, PhilHealth Benefits for PWDs by Ms. Kleah Guevara, Quality of Life of PWDs by Dr. Moises Torrentira, and RA 7277 by Dr./Kgd. Christopher Ryan Maboloc. The event was attended by PB Rodolfo Te, Kgd. Lolito Sucayre, Kgd. Raymond Zapanta, Kgd. Joseph Dumogho, and B/Sec. Juvy Nillas.

5th Values Formation Seminar successful

The 5th Values Formation Seminar, a program initiated by Kgd. Christopher Ryan Maboloc, was successfully held today, June 2, 2019, at Castle Dream Hotel Function Hall, Toril, Davao City. The seminar-workshop tackled issues and concerns concerning the youth, and the values necessary for good governance and Christian leadership. The speakers were Ms. Julie Ace Ramos, DSWD XI program officer and Dr. Rogelio Bayod, professor at Cor Jesu College. In attendance were Kgd. Lolito Sucayre, who gave the inspirational message, Kgd. Tonton Mulat, who gave the welcome remarks, and SK Chairman Maymay Aquino, who gave the closing message. The activity was sponsored by the Sangguniang Kabataan and the Sangguniang Barangay.

Tech-Voc Batch 19 Graduation Program held

A total of 80 trainees were awarded their certificates of training for the 19th batch of the Barangay Daliao Tech-Voc Training Program in a ceremony held last May 1, 2019. PB Rodolfo Te reiterated his vision of human development not only for his constituents in Daliao but also for those in other barangays who have availed themselves of the free training in welding, electronics, and electrical installation. The event was graced by the representative of TESDA Davao City OIC director Bayani Gofredo, Kagawad Bong Dumogho, Kgd. Ryan Maboloc, Kgd. Tonton Mulat, Kgd. Rodel Granada, and City Councilor Joselle Villafuerte. The occasion was also attended by Ricky Cabatu (instructor) and Jerson Beduya (supervisor). The program, a brainchild of Kgd. Maboloc and Kgd. Dumogho, has provided free TESDA-accredited skills training to more than 2,000 people since 2011. The registration for Batch 20 has started. Training will begin at the end of June this year.

Proposed Ordinance on the Prohibition of Single-Use Plastic in Barangay Daliao

Republic of the Philippines City of Davao OFFICE OF THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY Barangay Daliao, Toril District BARANGAY ORDINANCE NUMBER 07 (Series of 2019) AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE UTILIZATION OF SINGLE-USE PLASTICS IN THE BARANGAY WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay is tasked by the Local Government Code to promote the general welfare of the people of Daliao; WHEREAS, the protection and preservation of the environment is the responsibility of all sectors in the community; WHEREAS, the use of single-use plastics has been found to be harmful to the environment which contributes to pollution, flooding and other environmental dangers; NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kagawad Christopher Ryan Maboloc as sponsor, duly seconded by Kagawad Joven Anthony Mulat as co-sponsor, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY IN SESSION ASSEMBLED THAT: TITLE OF THE ORDINANCE Section 1. This Ordinance shall be known as “AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE UTILIZATION OF SINGLE-USE PLASTICS IN THE BARANGAY.”
