DPWH to implement more infrastructure projects in Barangay Daliao - PB Rodolfo Te

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has implemented various infrastructure projects in Barangay Daliao this year. The road widening project to four lanes in J. dela Cruz St. and Fish Port Ave. is on-going while another budget has been allocated for various road concreting projects and drainage improvement in the barangay, including a proposed multi-purpose building that will serve as a new recreation center. PB Rodolfo Te is grateful to President Rody Duterte, Mayor Sara Duterte, Sen. Bong Go, and Congressman Isidro Ungab for the progress they have brought to the barangay. The Sangguniang Barangay, especially the Committee on Infrastructure led by Kgd. Genaro Oberez Jr., and members Kgd. Ryan Maboloc and Kgd. Joseph Dumogho, has been active in the effort to push for equitable and sustainable development meant to benefit their constituents and the next generation. Barangay Daliao is one of the biggest barangays in Davao City in terms of population.

DPWH XI saves 100-year old Acacia Tree in Daliao from cutting

The Department of Public Works and Highways XI has saved the 100-year old Acacia Tree in Barangay Daliao from cutting. This was revealed by PB Rodolfo Te to the Sangguniang Barangay as he read a letter from the DPWH during a regular session held last June 6, 2021. It can be recalled that four barangay officials, namely, Kgd. Joseph Dumogho, Kgd. Joven Anthony Mulat, Kgd. Raymund Zapanta, and Kgd. Ryan Maboloc, have petitioned the DPWH to save the heritage tree in order to preserve its value to the environment. Dr. Moises Torrentira, an environmental planner, gave an opinion that the tree is healthy and poses no threat to motorists. The Sangguniang Barangay passed a resolution endorsing the petition to the DPWH. The DPWH said in the letter that the on-going road widening project will be adjusted.
