Tech-Voc Batch 19 Graduation Program held

A total of 80 trainees were awarded their certificates of training for the 19th batch of the Barangay Daliao Tech-Voc Training Program in a ceremony held last May 1, 2019. PB Rodolfo Te reiterated his vision of human development not only for his constituents in Daliao but also for those in other barangays who have availed themselves of the free training in welding, electronics, and electrical installation. The event was graced by the representative of TESDA Davao City OIC director Bayani Gofredo, Kagawad Bong Dumogho, Kgd. Ryan Maboloc, Kgd. Tonton Mulat, Kgd. Rodel Granada, and City Councilor Joselle Villafuerte. The occasion was also attended by Ricky Cabatu (instructor) and Jerson Beduya (supervisor). The program, a brainchild of Kgd. Maboloc and Kgd. Dumogho, has provided free TESDA-accredited skills training to more than 2,000 people since 2011. The registration for Batch 20 has started. Training will begin at the end of June this year.

DPWH to implement more infrastructure projects in Barangay Daliao - PB Rodolfo Te

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has implemented various infrastructure projects in Barangay Daliao this year. The road widening project to four lanes in J. dela Cruz St. and Fish Port Ave. is on-going while another budget has been allocated for various road concreting projects and drainage improvement in the barangay, including a proposed multi-purpose building that will serve as a new recreation center. PB Rodolfo Te is grateful to President Rody Duterte, Mayor Sara Duterte, Sen. Bong Go, and Congressman Isidro Ungab for the progress they have brought to the barangay. The Sangguniang Barangay, especially the Committee on Infrastructure led by Kgd. Genaro Oberez Jr., and members Kgd. Ryan Maboloc and Kgd. Joseph Dumogho, has been active in the effort to push for equitable and sustainable development meant to benefit their constituents and the next generation. Barangay Daliao is one of the biggest barangays in Davao City in terms of population.

Sangguniang Barangay Committees assigned

Committee chairmanships in the Sangguniang Barangay of Daliao have been assigned during the first regular session of the new council held last July 7, 2018. The powerful Committee on Finance is now handled by Kgd. Joseph Dumogho while Kgd. Junex Oberez holds the chairmanship of the Committee on Infrastructure and the Committee on Peace and Order. Kgd. Dumogho is also head of the Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries. Meanwhile, Kgd. Ryan Maboloc now chairs the Committee on Education whereas Kgd. Lolito Sucayre handles the Committee on Ethics and Good Governance and the Committee on Urban Planning. Kgd. Rodel Granada holds the chairmanship of the newly merged Committee on Health and Social Services while Kgd. Anthony Mulat is head of the Committee on the Environment and the Committee on Solid Waste Management. Kgd. Munding Zapanta is chair of the Committee on Tourism and SK Chairman Maymay Aquino, by law, chairs the Committee on Youth and Sports.
