5 STEP College scholars now on 2nd year

Five Support for Tertiary Education Program (STEP) scholars from Barangay Daliao have pursued their courses, now on their 2nd year, at the Davao Central College.

The students have been recommended by PB Rodolfo Te and former Education Comm. Chair Ryan Maboloc. They are enrolled in criminology and IT.

The scholars have undergone a rigid screening and went through a competitive exam. PB Te is elated that Mayor Sara Duterte have supported the scholars from Daliao who are into their 2nd year level. They have been initially funded by the Barangay and the SK but have since been absorbed by STEP.

Meanwhile, Kgd. Raymond Zapanta of the Comm. on Education has continued his support for the Day Care Centers and the three elementary schools through different projects and activities.

INTERNAL RULES OF PROCEDURE OF THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF DALIAO

Republic of the Philippines City of Davao Barangay of Daliao SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY INTERNAL RULES OF PROCEDURE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF DALIAO WHEREAS, the foregoing Sangguniang Barangay Internal Rules of Procedure are necessary in order to govern the orderly conduct of the members of the Sangguniang Barangay; WHEREAS, the promulgation of these rules are imperative in the efficient discharge of the powers, duties, and functions of the members of the Sangguniang Barangay, pursuant to the pertinent provisions as found therein in the Local Government Code of 1991 (RA 7160). NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kgd. Christopher Ryan Maboloc, duly seconded by Kgd. Genaro Oberez Jr., be it resolved as it is hereby resolved, to adopt the following Internal Rules of Procedure of the Sangguniang Barangay of Daliao. Sangguniang Barangay Committees assigned

Committee chairmanships in the Sangguniang Barangay of Daliao have been assigned during the first regular session of the new council held last July 7, 2018. The powerful Committee on Finance is now handled by Kgd. Joseph Dumogho while Kgd. Junex Oberez holds the chairmanship of the Committee on Infrastructure and the Committee on Peace and Order. Kgd. Dumogho is also head of the Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries. Meanwhile, Kgd. Ryan Maboloc now chairs the Committee on Education whereas Kgd. Lolito Sucayre handles the Committee on Ethics and Good Governance and the Committee on Urban Planning. Kgd. Rodel Granada holds the chairmanship of the newly merged Committee on Health and Social Services while Kgd. Anthony Mulat is head of the Committee on the Environment and the Committee on Solid Waste Management. Kgd. Munding Zapanta is chair of the Committee on Tourism and SK Chairman Maymay Aquino, by law, chairs the Committee on Youth and Sports.

Barangay Council holds successful Araw ng Barangay

The Barangay Council of Daliao has conducted a very successful Araw ng Barangay Daliao last May 1, 2013 with the theme, "Katawhan, bahandi sa katilingban." The celebration included a mass, the launching of the Agri-Fair, Basketball Championships, and the Mutya ng Daliao, among others. Congressman Isidro Ungab led the Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod in the rally during the afternoon. He informed the Barangay of the 5 million new barangay hall project. PB Rodolfo Te thanked all barangay constituents for the support. The occasion was also graced by City Councilor Kaloy Bello, Councilor Bong Advincula, Councilor Bernie Al-ag, Councilor Rachel Zozobrado, Councilor Myrna Dalodo-Ortiz, Dr. Joselle Villafuerte and candidates Jopet Baluran, Atty. Gerry Braganza, Atty. Petite Principle, and Engr. Eduard Trinidad.
