The Community-based Technical Vocational Training Program in Barangay Daliao will be institutionalized in order to gain National Competency II accreditation from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, according to Kgd. Ryan Maboloc, one of the founders of the program, as per advice by TESDA Director Nestor S. Tabada.
Engr. Bong Dumugho, kagawad-elect and training supervisor, will attend an orientation at TESDA to commence the process of accreditation. The Barangay Council has also allocated 300,000 pesos for the purchase of a transformer, which is necessary for the welding classes. Trainings are free of charge for Barangay Daliao residents.
For 2014, Electrical Installation and Maintenance will also be introduced. The Program will constitute two levels, NC I and NC II. The Tech-Voc committee will conduct interviews in different sitios beginning December. Classes will commence in January 2014, with Teodoro Espera and Jerson Beduya returning as instructors. The Program has graduated 300 people and has handed out 525 training competency certificates.
